WOMEN’S GUILD NEWS
Mepkin Abbey Tour:
Thursday, November 30. A day trip (by bus) is being planned leaving from the church parking lot, traveling to Mepkin Abbey to view the crèches, attend noon prayers, walk through the gardens, and shop in their delightful gift shop. A box lunch will be provided. Everyone is invited to join us. Registration forms will be at the back of the church. Call Charlotte Zurlo with any questions. (768-3155)
Christmas Angel Tree:
The Angel Tree will be placed in the back of the church the weekend before Thanksgiving. The decorations on this tree are special Angels. These Angels will have the names of children and the elderly on them, along with gift suggestions. Your support of giving to these “Angels” has been wonderful in past years, and we know that your support will be evident during this Christmas season. Gifts for these Angels are to be placed under the tree by Sunday, December 10th. Further information will be forthcoming in church bulletins.
Church Decorations:
On Saturday December 16th, at 10AM after the 9AM Mass, we will be putting up the large Christmas trees in church, along with the wreaths and crèche. On Sunday, December 24th at 12 Noon after the 11AM Mass, we will be completing the decorations in the church (flowers, candles, nativity figures, etc.) Volunteers are needed! Our parish spirit was evident last year when we joined together and decorated our church – we know that the same support will be present this year. If you can assist us please fill out the section at the bottom of this information sheet and return it to us this evening. You can call Mary Fortin (768-5665) for more information.
